ALEXANDRE AUTHELAIN QUARTET

ALEXANDRE AUTHELAIN. CLARINET, TENOR SAXOPHONE / FRÉDÉRIC GASTARD. BASS SAXOPHONE / AYMERIC AVICE. TRUMPET //RAMON LOPEZ. DRUMS

concert

Here comes the fearless quartet who dares introduce itself as "story tellers", "frontiers smugglers", "group builders". Well, they do carry the emancipated signs of the ones who understand Jazz as a free music, not afraid to mix sophisticated arrangements with punk energy and the latter with legendary fanfares. The quartet was born during the "Son Libre de La Java" jams and is made out of three horns and an atypical percussionist. It deals with a music-pass, a door opening music that will introduce you to the secret society of spontaneous inventors!

CRAIG TABORN QUARTETInédit

CRAIG TABORN. PIANO, KEYBOARDS / CHRIS SPEED. SAXOPHONE, CLARINET / CHRIS LIGHTCAP. BASS / DAVE KING. DRUMS

Picture a man holding the helm of a piano-tiller, a housebreaking pianist who could open all doors, picking melodies and harmonies. Guess what, he's also a master of keyboards, of shimmering and lightning. He often played with Tim Berne and even Carl Craig. Craig Taborn likes to make the shapes blossom, provides his sidemen for drifting and wandering and feeds himself with them. His new quartet featuring Dave King, Bad Plus drummer, goes for a walk in the hanging gardens of music, a stunned and stunning music that combines compositions, improvisation and electronics in order to sow beauty spots and beauty seeds.
