EMILE PARISIEN QUARTETCréation

EMILE PARISIEN SAXOPHONE IVAN GELUGNE DOUBLE BASS
JULIEN TOUERY PIANO SYLVAIN DARRIFOURCQ DRUMS

concert

If you have enjoyed "Au Revoir Porc-Épic", "Original Pimpant" and "Chien-Guêpe", you will love the new treasures our dashing explorers dug out. Emile Parisien's quartet is a continuing wonder. They do sound like modern, even contemporary, Jazz. They do are creative. But something else comes to mind and that's an instantly unmistakable sound. With open-minded and dynamic themes; self and collective sound-consciousness; effective ideas, these four men are obsessed with the audacity that's required to catch Jazz off-balance, love It and serve it the best way. Refreshing!

BB&C - TIM BERNE, JIM BLACK & NELS CLINEInédit

TIM BERNE SAXOPHONE JIM BLACK DRUMS, MACHINE
NELS CLINE GUITAR

Yes! This is a BBC program although they have been hacked and now broadcast a powerful polyphony of melodies embedded in an improvised flow and processional sounding ballads. In charge are three voluble improvisers who know each other since always and all have a close relationship with the oldest - and the more adventurous - forms of Rhythm'n Blues and Rock. The obstinate sax player can bring invocation or insobriety to a collapse. The radiative guitar player unveils and tears the sound curtain. The will-o'-the-wisp drummer drops his anchor in every drop of noise. Be sure Tim Berne, Jim Black and Nels Cline will risk everything, furiously. Just go with their flow!
