BRÖTZMANN / DRAKE / PARKER TRIOInédit

PETER BRÖTZMANN. SAXOPHONES, CLARINETS / WILLIAM PARKER. DOUBLE BASS / HAMID DRAKE. DRUMS

Peter Brötzmann, the man of lyrical fury, will remain as the European Jazz disturber since he recorded "Machine Gun" in 1968 (Machine gun was how Don Cherry named him) and thanks to a relentless process both sides of the Atlantic. Everything he does, he does it for direct and collective action. Everything is a progression in a galvanized place; excrescence catches growth unawares.
He chants in a profound, tenacious, magic way. Brötzmann has always wanted to determine his strength and converge with his sidemen. Since 1993, the sax player found with William Parker and Hamid Drake two kindred, combative spirits who speak freely to him, forming a pact and building alloys, rhythms and textures. Brötzmann the dragon passes like a shot but, sometimes, lets you enjoy the safer place of the eye of the storm.
