CYRO BAPTISTA & BRIAN MARSELLA "These are the Songs"

EXCLUSIVE
Cyro Baptista - percussions, vocals | Brian Marsella - piano forte, keyboards & percussions

Let’s talk about music, let’s talk about jazz… but first, let’s consider the chemical factor. What the audience can witness is only the reactions: sparks and bangs. If, in the experimental test-tube, we place a Brasilian master percussionist such as Cyro Baptista and an explosive pianist such as Brian Marsella, we will quickly agree on the result: sheer incandescence. Nothing sounds artificial, nothing sounds watered down. They’re directly tuned into life. Nothing here that wouldn’t fit in a genuine magical rite. The duellists’ careers account for each and every explosion within the duo: Baptista and Marsella know each other perfectly and they’ve been shaking things up together in Sound Of The Community: like-minded musicians who see eye to eye on everything. Not so much chemistry, then, as blazing alchemy.

LETIERES LEITE & ORKESTRA RUMPILEZZ feat. TONY ALLEN

EXCLUSIVE
Letieres Leite conductor | Tony Allen - drums

ORKESTRA RUMPILEZZ
Adailson Rodrigues - bass trombone | Fernando Rocha - tuba | Vinicius Freitas - baritone saxophone | Andre Becker - alto saxophone, flute | Paulinho Andrade - alto saxophone, flute | Rowney Scott - soprano ant tenor saxophone | Leo Rocha - tenor saxophone, flute | Gilmar Chaves, Juracy Júnior, Matias Traut - trombones | João Teoria, Danilo Brito, Fernando Miranda, Guiga Scott - trompettes, flugelhorns | Gabi Guedes, Luizinho do Jêje, Emerson Taquari, Jorge Wallace, Lucas Maciel - percussions

One man, one Orkestra. Brought together by Letieres Leite, its leader and founder. Let’s put this orchestra in the Big Band category. By associating exclusively the brass and percussions, Letieres Leite has indeed turned the Orkestra Rumpilezz into a formidable big band. And its members have deliberately decided to tap your deepest resources, and make you dance “until you drop”. Turning its ancestral roots from Africa and Brazil towards modern harmonies, the Rumpilezz can tear down walls, conjure up the Candomblé Rum drums and lift the double z from jazz. To perfectly balance everything out, Letieres Leite has invited Toni Allen, the imperturbable drummer behind Fela Kuti’s iconic groove. Perfect for the dancefloor.
