NAÏSSAM JALAL "QUEST OF THE INVISIBLE" / HAMID DRAKE Creation
Invité : Hamid Drake - percussions
In this new creation, flautist Naïssam Jalal has gathered pianist Leonardo Montana and bass player Claude Tchamitchian for a quest into the Invisible. This new repertoire stands at the crossroads between non Western traditional and mystical music, and modal Jazz. Silence plays a major role, rhythm leads to a trance in a repetitive and hypnotic way. Sometimes, the voice helps the instruments to get in touch with the Invisible by naming it. A creation that wavers between contemplation and trance, silence and music.
"THE CITY WAS YELLOW: THE CHICAGO SUITE" CreationMIKE REED QUARTET+ ONJ OLIVIER BENOIT

In resonance with its Europa cycle, a sonic road trip going from town to town and from European stages to stages, Olivier Benoit’s ONJ has joined Chicago, the acclaimed other Jazz city, with lock, stock and barrel. Embarking upon the theme of discovery and exploration of a human and musical landscape, the guitar player entrusted his orchestra and the writing of pieces to Mike Reed, one of the most emblematic polytechnicians-musicians of the Midwest. His kaleidoscopic suite tiles original works and some from the “Chicago Real Book” covering the last decades and the endless flow of creative music embodied by the Windy City.
