RABIH ABOU-KHALIL "HUNGRY PEOPLE" Inédit
RABIH ABOU-KHALIL OUD / LUCIANO BIONDINI ACCORDION / JARROD CAGWIN PERCUSSIONS
From the day he entered the world of Jazz, the unique Rabih Abou-Khalil never fell in the so-called "fusion" trap. Quite the reverse, he deals with all consequences of multiple influences and styles.
Born in Lebanon, he likes when East meets West and when they both meet Jazz. A lover of complex, vivace and magic rhythms that lead to unconventional songs, Rabih Abou-Khalil always avoids cheesy exoticism.
Tonight, we'll hear a trio; an uncommon size for him but one that will allow the exploration of his trademark art: one half of rhythm and melodic extravaganza, one half of poetical power, serious and glowing at the same time.
