Retourner l’usage des mots. Pas simple. Les Queers et les Punk ont déjà exploité la recette, le blues et le jazz ont toujours joué avec les double-sens. C’est au tour de Grand Bazar et du quartet Novembre de retourner le sens et les sens, dans cette soirée pensée comme un spectacle total. De quoi laisser surgir quelques Apparitions. Ici, Le Grand Bazar, c’est un jeu né des univers de deux grands noms de la nouvelle scène française et européenne du jazz et des musiques improvisées. Ève Risser et Antonin-Tri Hoang explorent le répertoire de quatre maestros, Györgi Ligeti, Bach, Carla Bley et Aphex Twin, à la recherche du geste créateur de ce mont Rushmore de compositeurs. Armés d’un arsenal calibré all kind of stuff, le Grand Bazar se fait guide d’un univers poétique, drôle et gracieux. Novembre mène encore plus loin le concept d’Apparitions. On invente, on casse, on rassemble, on déconstruit et on remonte. La lumière synchronise son jeu à la musique, les échelles changent. Du solo au grand orchestre. Voici une soirée où vont et viennent des formes musicales mouvantes rendues visibles par ces jeunes vaudous. Hallucinations auditives et brisures calculées propulsées d’un souffle, versées dans une magnifique catastrophe apprivoisée.

ENGLISH VERSION : With words, turnabout is fair play, as Queer and Punk have proved. Besides, blues and jazz have always danced with double entendre. Le Grand Bazar has many meanings in French, one of them being The Huge Mess. In a concert conceived as a total experience, Grand Bazar and the quartet Novembre flip the sense out of the senses. In fact, some Apparitions may be manifest. This Grand Bazar was born from the worlds of two big names on the new Franco-European jazz and improvised music scene, Ève Risser and Antonin-Tri Hoang. Together, they explore the repertoire of four maestros : Györgi Ligeti, Bach, Carla Bley, and Aphex Twin, scaling this Mount Rushmore of composers in search of the wellspring of creation. Equipped with all kinds of shiny gear, Grand Bazar leads us into a poetic, graceful universe with a touch of humor. As for Novembre, it takes the concept of Apparitions one step further. Inventions are made, broken, mended, deconstructed, and put back together again. The light show is synchronized with the music, bringing about a change of scale from the solo to the big band. This is an evening where young voodoo masters make moving musical forms visible. The power of breath propels auditory hallucinations and calculated fragmentations into a magnificent domesticated catastrophe.
