For one wonderful week-end, American deejay, producer, and professor King Britt, a legend of electronica and hip-hop, will emcee premiere performances and first-time encounters at the intersection of greatly varying aesthetics that reflect his own journey. From his early days on the Philadelphia dance music scene to his current research on the ground-breaking role of people of color in the history of electronic music, with a nod to his remixes and album concepts, King Britt has always moved at the cutting edge of modernity. His genius also dwells in his ability to collaborate artists from a variety of horizons on his projects.

ENGLISH VERSION : Born in Suriname, Miss Tahloulah May grew up in the Netherlands, surrounded by the sounds of her family’s record collection, where soul, funk, jazz, Surinamese folk music and Caribbean melodies were all prominently appreciated.Now, the musician and producer explores the sweet and swirling compositions she creates with her modular synthesizers. The four singles and one EP Miss Tahloulah has released since 2022 are electronic beauties, striped with hip-hop and house, sometimes trippy, sometimes just boogalicious.

ENGLISH VERSION : For this extra-extra-large festival creation performed in the Cité Internationale auditorium, King Britt teams up with the great Tyshawn Sorey. In 2021, the pair published a marvelous album, a dialogue between machines and drums that was simultaneously incisive, generous, and amusing. Undoubtedly, their polyrhythmic improvisations will serve as the structural framework of a set that China Moses’s vocals will send into the realm of soul. Meanwhile, jazz, hip-hop, and electro will hover nearby, in the hands of outstanding and talented musicians.
